GENERAL NOTES
RESIST THE TEMPTATION TO SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE during the pouring procedure, otherwise you'll spill the toner powder. While toner powder is considered harmless it does make an awful mess if spilt. Avoid touching the OPC drum (the metal cylinder on
the bottom of the cartridge) touching or damaging this cylinder will have a negative effect on the quality and performance of your cartridge.
Refill Procedure
Refilling of the Samsung ML1610 / ML-2010 is quite easy. The cartridge has a refill plug hidden by a side plate, the plate can be unscrewed and gently prised off to reveal the toner refill plug.
Undo the 2 side plate fixing screws on the right side of the cartridge as you remove it from the printer (posi-drive type).

 2. Gently prise the side plate / blanking cover from the cartridge. You need to prise the
cover very gently with a wide flat blade screwdriver or wide thin bladed knife. Work around the perimeter of the cover until it lifts off completely.
N.B This cover also holds the retaining pin for the OPC drum; the pin is fixed in place to the cover and has a tight mechanical fit. You may need to gently twist the cover as it
starts to lift off the cartridge in order to remove this pin from the roller mounting. Don’t worry there are no loose parts or nasty surprises.
That’s the most difficult bit done!!

  3. With the side plate removed you will clearly see the traditional Samsung style refill plug, the round shape about the size of a 1 pence coin (see picture opposite).
4. Gently prise the plug out of the cartridge using a flat blade screwdriver. (We sell
replacement plugs if you damage it, so don’t worry too much).
5. Pour 55g of toner into the toner cartridge (approx half the bottle), hold the cartridge at a
45-degree angle, gently tap the bottle DO NOT SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE, when finished
replace the toner refill plug.
6. Replace the side plate by following the reverse of step 2, ensure that the cover “Snaps” back into place before inserting the 2 posi
-drive screws.

FUSE REPLACEMENT
Some Samsung toners (e.g ML-2510 / ML-2570 / SCX-4216 etc) require a fuse fitting or replacing in order to register as full.
Simply locate the fuse holder on the front edge of the cartridge
(see Fig. 2 above) remove the old fuse (if present) then fit a new fuse.
